We will be covering the best trails here like we did for Quechee State Park. They are also on the website AllTrails. If you missed our Quechee trails post, you can read it here: https://meghanhirst27.wixsite.com/my-site/post/quechee-state-park-vt-part-3-trails.
Salamander, Stegosaurus, Underdog, and Dewey Wood Road: this is a collection of trails that spans 5.4 miles. It is crowded because it is great for a lot of activities: hiking, running, biking, and skiing. The difficulty level is intermediate because it is a little rocky. The rating is 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Lower Giorgetti Loop: as indicated in the photo above, this is one of three parts of the Giorgetti trail. It is 0.8 miles long. It is not crowded because it is mostly just used for hiking. Very important note: do not forget to use bug spray! There are numerous bugs in this area. The difficulty level is simple because it is shorter. The rating is 4.3 out of 5 stars.
Things to remember:
The park is only open during the day. It closes at 5 PM.
Dogs need to be on leashes.
Smoking is prohibited.
Some trails are for hiking and running only. Watch out for notices below signs like the one shown here.
Bikers must watch out for people navigating the trails on foot and other bikers.
You can read recommended trails for different activities, check the conditions of trails, and report trail issues on the park's website PineHillPark.Org.
The educational nature activities for kids are next!
What is your favorite activity to do on trails? My mom and I love hiking!
