Gristmill! :D If you have been following for a while, you know that we have mentioned this type of facility several times (we have seen a lot of them!) The Bucks County Playhouse is located inside one of them. The mill was constructed by founder Benjamin Parry in 1790. Like the Parry Mansion Museum, the facility was rescued from being torn down. The heroes were a group of performance artists who wanted it to be transformed into a playhouse. With much community support, the new attraction began operating in 1939, and swiftly rose to fame. It attracts just as much attention today and still has shows for both adults and children.
If you want to get something to eat and/or drink before or after a show, a gastropub called The Deck is conveniently located inside the playhouse. Gastropubs serve upscale food and top-quality alcoholic drinks. All of the money that the restaurant makes goes to the playhouse, which is a non-profit organization. The Deck has 4.2 out of 5 stars on Google.
Please note that there is a full section of terms and conditions, disclaimers, and precautions on the playhouse's website. Be sure to read everything before buying tickets and/or dining. You can find the link on the Google search results and the website's homepage.
The Sunbeam General Store is next!
