Wolfeboro is visible from the M/S Mount Washington cruise ship. If you missed our post about this ship, you can view it here: https://meghanhirst27.wixsite.com/my-site/post/lake-winnipesaukee-nh-part-2-m-s-mount-washington-cruises.

As you can tell by all the cars and people in the photo, this town is a very popular travel destination! Additionally, many U.S. citizens retire here due to the availability of recreational sports and volunteer activities.

Wolfeboro was founded by Governor John Wentworth in 1759 and was a farming locale. It is named after the champion of the Battle of Quebec, General Wolfe. Up until the 1900s, this town made its money by producing lumber and selling apple goods. It then started manufacturing other products, such as dairy foods, wool blankets, clothes, and footwear, This town became a tourist attraction in 1872 after the construction of the Wolfeboro Railroad.

Bridge Falls Path in Wolfeboro is next!

Have you ever visited a town on a lake?
