A historic house with a beautiful garden.

The Johnson Ferry House is extra special because it is the only building left standing in the New Jersey section that was around during the famous Crossing the Delaware event. It was constructed in 1740 and operated as a ferry service, plantation, and tavern. The Johnson family was clearly working very diligently! The Kitchen Garden has been historically preserved, so you can see exactly what one looked like during this time period. Neat! The textile room, keeping room, bedchamber, parlor, and pantry all include replicas of the furniture that was owned by the Johnsons.
