Stonington Point is an extremely popular diving spot that the locals love. Summer is the busiest season; divers take either evening or nighttime swims almost every day. They do one of two things: observe marine life or gather kelp for pharmaceutical, ingestion, and soil fertilizing purposes. Some of the animals that are present here are a variety of fish, horseshoe crabs (a sea animal that we really like :D), and squid.

For more information and comments by divers, check out DiveBuddy.Com.

The history of Stonington Lighthouse is next!

Have you ever gone diving? What animals did you see?
