Over a million people flock to Peddler's Village each year :O You will be able to see why after we cover it! This shopping district is an hour away from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Besides shops, there are restaurants, an inn, and a plethora of annual events and festivals.

The village was established in 1962 by a man named Earl Jamison, who lived in Pennsylvania his whole life. It was originally a chicken farm called "Hentown". Jamison began refurbishing a dilapidated barn and chicken coops then constructed buildings and brick paths. The colonial-style (1600's to 1800's) architecture seen here is based on that of a town named Carmel in California. The architecture and paths make it feel like you are stepping through a time portal! We have never had a shopping experience as unique as this one :O

Please follow the COVID-19 guidelines in this area. You must wear a mask or present vaccination cards while indoors. Event and festival tickets will probably need to be purchased ahead of time and reservations will probably need to be made at restaurants. View the Peddler's Village website for details about specific events, festivals, and restaurants. There is also excellent information on the Peddler's Village section of the Visit Bucks County Pennsylvania site.

The Gingerbread Competition and Display is next!

Have you been to an amazing shopping district like this one? If so, we would love to hear about it!
