Small restaurant, but gigantic flavors. Tripadvisor rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars (should be higher!!)

My mom and I were talking about this destination on the day that we started this post. I mentioned how tiny the interior is and how they have some of the greatest sandwiches and soups that we have ever eaten. My mom commented "Those places are always the best." This is definitely true. Rule of thumb for restaurants: do not judge them based on the sizes of the buildings! You will miss out on top-quality food if you do so.
Here is a travel tip: if you did not look up restaurants online prior to going out, ask the locals what their favorite place to eat is. Sometimes they will recommend places if they know or find out that you are not from the area. If you read our posts about B.F. Clyde's Cider Mill, you saw that this happened with an employee at Pop on the Block. My mom found Bogue's Alley on Yelp.
The finest items at this deli, bistro, and market are the Rachel paninis (meatball paninis), Cubano paninis, and the chef's special soups. A fair warning about the Cubano paninis: they come with vinegar peppers that are really spicy! I put one pepper in my mouth without chewing it and the spice coated my entire tongue (yikes!) They also come with spicy mustard, but it is pretty mild. The soups vary by day and there are usually two to choose from. If you are feeling extra hungry, this restaurant conveniently offers three different types of boxed lunches with more than just sandwiches and soups. For more details and other menu items, visit their website at Boguesalley.Com. Click on the online ordering tab to view the full menu (you can freely scroll through it without having to order).
We hope you enjoyed our Connecticut posts. Rhode Island is next!
What is the best sandwich and the best soup you have ever had?
