There are a TON of things to do in this part of Connecticut, so be sure to explore more than just Olde Mistick Village. Mystic is an enormous historical maritime town. You will definitely want to add this to your travel list if you love boats, ships, or any kind of sea transportation vessels!
Seaport Village is a half-refurbished 1800's village (sounds funny XD) I say only half because the historical buildings are original, but they were brought here from various areas of New England. Businesspeople such as shipsmiths, riggers, and woodcarvers worked in these structures. It is fascinating to imagine what daily life was like in this type of town during this time period.
To read about everything Mystic has to offer, visit the town's website at Mysticseaport.Org. You can view a map of the town and a list of the buildings in Seaport Village at Mysticseaport.Org/explore/village.
Mystic Aquarium is next!
