Mystic, CT - Part 3 Olde Mistick Village Shops Sticky Situations

Updated: Jan 15, 2023

A shop that sells a variety of flavored honeys and more! It is a favorite among many reviewers on Tripadvisor :D

Queen Honeysuckle and her worker bees are the stars of Sticky Situations! Their delicious honey products would not exist without them. Go, bees! :D (A cartoon drawing of the queen bee herself is on every jar of honey).

Of course, the owner and employees play a large role as well. They are fully dedicated to rescuing bees, offering nutritious food options, and supporting organic farms in Mystic.

This shop sells honey butters and honey mustards in addition to flavored honeys. If you cannot decide on which flavor to buy, all of them are available to taste right in the building. Super convenient! The honeys that they have range from fruit flavors, such as strawberry and lemon to more unique ones, such as garlic and chipotle. You can also buy syrups, oils, vinegars, sticky teas, sauces, and pastas. Some of these items sound pretty random, but that is because the shop is partnered with an olive oil one called Extra Virgin. Recipes can be viewed on their website Stickysituationshoney.Com. This is not a recipe on there, but my mom and brother found a creative way to use their garlic honey: in a sauce for pork tenderloins (It is very good.). If you happen to have a question about a recipe, do not hesitate to ask one of the employees—they are happy to help!

The best flavor of honey that I have tried so far is the strawberry. I have the lemon one also and I may like it just as much :D

If you do not live anywhere near Connecticut and do not want to or cannot travel, you will not have to miss out—the site has online ordering, and they ship products to anywhere in the U.S. There are locations at Peddler's Village in Pennsylvania and in Michigan as well. More super convenient things!

Seaport Village in Mystic is next!

What is the best honey product that you have eaten? Is it a flavored one?
