Raining Cats and Dogs has been in Olde Mistick Village since 1989. They sell merchandise and products for cats and dogs as well as cat and dog lovers. There are even items that pertain to specific cat and dog breeds. Some of the things you can find here are t-shirts, mugs, calendars, welcome mats, pet bowls, treats, toys, collars, and leashes. Approximately two-thirds of the shop is comprised of dog related stuff. The cat related stuff that they have is cool. I bought a t-shirt with kittens on it <3
There is one thing that really makes the shop a winner in our book: the workers hold two fundraisers for animal rescue funds and animal rescue organizations in Mystic each year. If you read our post about Dog Watch Café's Rooftop Rosie Rescue Fund, you know how important these causes are to us. If you missed it, you can check it out here: https://meghanhirst27.wixsite.com/my-site/post/stonington-ct-part-11-dog-watch-caf%C3%A9-s-dog-rescue-fund.
Olde Mistick Village in its entirety is pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your dog inside the shop if you have one! When my mom and I were visiting, the cashier was commenting on how cute a customer's Black Labrador Retriever was <3
For more information, see the blurb about the shop on the village's website at Oldemistickvillage.Com/shopping/raining-cats-and-dogs.
The honey shop Sticky Situations is next!
What is your favorite item that you bought for your cat(s) or dog(s)? Our two cats have a toy that looks like a donut XD
