Olde Mistick Village has very unique products and merchandise, which really makes it stand out from other shopping districts! The shops sell souvenirs, handmade gifts, international items, jewelry, and accessories. We will be covering two noteworthy shops here. The full list of shops is available on Oldemistickvillage.Com. There are more than forty :O

A man named Martin Olson purchased this property in 1963. After deciding not to construct a mall due to the population in the area being too low, his children Jerry and Joyce Olson came up with another idea. Together they began creating a replica of an18th century village that was partially modeled after Peddler's Village in Lahaska, Pennsylvania (You get that same sense of stepping through a time portal here :D) Everything was completed in 1973. Today, Olde Mistick Village is popular with both locals and tourists.

The waterwheel depicted above was built in 2020. It is dedicated to first responders and frontline workers that continue to help us during the COVID-19 pandemic. Awesome gesture!

The Raining Cats and Dogs shop is next!

Have you been to a place like this that is a historic replica? Did you get that sense of stepping back in time?
