"I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order."
-John Burroughs
"What is this thing? Weird!" That was the reaction that my mom and I had when we found the green labyrinth next to the Bucks County Trail XD This ancient stone formation was constructed by two interns who worked at the preserve in 2015. It is said to have spiritual and healing attributes. Its purpose is to connect people with nature and to symbolize life's voyage. Curiously, these labyrinths have been discovered in various time periods and various cultures worldwide. Wow! If you practice meditation and would like to get the full experience, you can find meditation instructions in the Visitor Center.
Check out the preserve's website to see what the labyrinth looks like during the other seasons.
Autumn leaf colors at the preserve is next!
Have you ever come across an unexpected thing like this while walking in the woods?
